Rodney Poe,

Was born and raised in Milwaukee WI .Rodney Poe started singing at the tender
age of 9. He first started in church singing with his brother and sister in a group
they called "The Precious Poe's". After dedicating 10 years to singing and
composing music in the church, Rodney Poe was ready to present his vocal talent to the R/B world. IN 1997 , he formed the group called "Special Request" it consisted of himself, Tim Campbell, Mario Brown, BJ Hortman a team of elite R/B singers from Milwaukee.

After the group mastered their craft they relocated to Atlanta,Ga. Where they collaborated and worked with Various record labels,producers and industry reps local and mainstream. Although the group did well, they never Found a label home. The group soon split. Rodney Poe found himself once again an independent solo artist. After having a few minor set backs Rodney Poe continues to record, promote and perform on a national level.Rodney Poe talents span to vocal arrangements,song writing and vocal choreography.All of the songs on his myspace page, Myspace.com/Rodneypoe were written and arranged by Rodney Poe.

Sqad Thik,

Nicco, H3, & Qaida, three brothers bound not only by blood but also by a common dream. That dream is to be the defining sound of the river city of Louisville. These three, collectively known as Sqad Thik, each bring their own individually distinct style
to create one unique concoction that sets them apart from the rest of the southern hip hop scene. The group was established in Louisville, Kentucky home of the late Stephen “Static Major” Garrett and the Grammy nominated group Nappy Roots (1999). The group started off as a group of childhood friends free styling as a hobby and over time evolved into the hip hop group you see today. With influences ranging from
Tupac to Jay-Z the three members create their own ways with their own styles
to make it in the music business.

Nicholas “Nicco” Harris (born July 23rd, 1986) is the oldest of the three. At the age
of 22 brings the finely tuned lyricism to the group. Witty metaphors and sharp punch lines are just a small showing of his lyrical arsenal. From gritty thought-provoking storytelling all the way to bass thumping club bangers, Nicco showcases his musical process effortlessly. Time and time again his bars exhibit that he can go bar for bar with some of the most talented artists of mainstream hip hop.

Charles “H3” Harrison III (born May 28th, 1987) is the muscle of the faction. H3 provides the slow paced, baritone vocals to the Sqad but do not take the slow delivery for being a slouch behind the microphone. With his various tempos of delivery he commands the audience’s attention. H3’s slick lines, word combinations, and unlimited verse styles prove that H3 is by far one of the best in the business.

Stephen “Qaida” Harris (born September 11th, 1988) the youngest of the group, illustrates the first class swagger that the group has. Nick-named Qaida back in
2001 due to his birthday being on September 11th, literally poses a “threat” to the music competition. Qaida’s rivaled flow shows off a rapid fire delivery with an east coast flavor and an energy only southern hip-hop can provide.

Sqad Thik supplies a breath of fresh air to the local scene and will soon be a great addition to the mainstream hip hop community. Through their music, rap group Sqad Thik offers a vivid description of how life is for males and females in their positions and situations; exhibiting a raw view of the life many face on a daily basis.

AS WE ALL HAD THE SAME INTEREST IN MUSIC WE CREATED A UNIQUE SOUND THAT INCLUDED HIP HOP AND GANGSTA RAP! A SACRAMENTO/UTAH COMPILATION. WE NEW WE WERE ON TO SOMETHING! AS TIME GREW WE DROPPED AN UNDERGROUND ALBUM THAT CAUGHT PEOPLES ATTENTION! CHIVO LOC CAME FROM A BACKGROUND OF MUSICIANS IN HIS PEDIGREE, SO HE HAD AN EAR FOR SOUND! WE WROTE OUR OWN HOOKS AND VERSES, MADE OUR OWN BEATS FROM SCRATCH, LEARNED EARLY TO DEPEND ON WHAT WE ALL HAVE AND DO IT OURSELVES! SO MR*G DECIDED TO MOVE HIS FAMILY OUT TO LAYTON CITY WITH CHIVO LOC AGAIN. WORKING BACK AND FORTH FROM UTAH TO CALI. WAS WORKING STILL BUT DID SLOW THINGS DOWN! AS 2 MORE ALBUMS WAS DROPPED UNDERGROUND WITH A HIGHER QUALITY LYRICS, BEATS, AND GRAFIX FROM A HOMEBOY NAMED ''FELIPE'' IN CALIFORNIA. THE WORD WAS OUT! AND PEOPLE WANTED THIS ALBUM FROM ACROSS THE WEST COAST? THINGS WERE LOOKING GOOD FOR N-COGNITO. AS WE HIT ANOTHER BUMP IN THE ROAD? AND IT CAME MORE DIFFICULT WORKING BACK AND FORTH TO CALI FROM UTAH? IT WAS TIME TO REGROUP AND LOOK AT THE BLUEPRINT AGAIN.

WITH TIME PASSING WE WERE INTRODUCED TO A YOUNGSTER BY THE NAME OF THUGZY WHO WAS ALSO FROM CALI. AND MADE HIS OWN BEATS AS WELL? SO BETWEEN GRIZZLY BEATS AND THUGZY BEATS WE HAD ENOUGH MATERIAL TO DROP ANOTHER ALBUM! BUT WE NEEDED A MAINSTREAM SOUND FOR RADIO AND CLUBS TO PROVE WE CAN COME OUT OF THE GUTTER! SO WE BRAINSTORMED A FEW OPTIONS WITH SOME VOCALYSTS AVAILABLE, AND CREATED A DIFFERENT SOUND THAT SUPRIZED ALOT OF HARD CORE GANGSTAS AS WELL AS FOLKS THAT DONT CARE FOR RAP? IT WAS SOMETHIN FOR EVERYBODY! AND WE CALLED IT THE ''GQ VERSION'' IT WAS A MIX OF HIP HOP/R&B/RAP/SOUL/AND OLDIES?

WITH THE TRUTH TO BE TOLD! IT WAS A HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ALBUM WITH 18 TRACKS. BUT WE DIDNT HAVE THE UTAH NETWORK FOR THE CLUB SCENES AND RADIO MATERIAL? SO WE PUT OUR FEET TO THE STREET AGAIN, AND STARTED NETWORKING. WE HAD SOMETHIN TO PROVE STILL? AND THERE WERENT BIG ENOUGH LOCAL SHOWS TO PRESENT WHAT WE HAD TO OFFER THE WORLD? SO WE DECIDED TO COME UP WITH OUR OWN PROMOTION COMPANY AND STREAT TEAM CALLED ''BIG BUSINEZZ PROMOTIONS'' WITH NO SPONSERS WE HAD TO FORK OUT ALL THE COST?

AND THATS WHEN WE KNEW WE WERE GETTING DEEPER IN THIS GAME.
BUT WE STAYED INDEPENDENT LIKE WE ALWAYS HAD! AND THREW
ONE OF THE BIGGEST SHOWS IN UTAH THAT YEAR! EXHAUSTED AND BROKE AGAIN WITH DRIVE AND AMBITION WE CAME ACROSS JOHNNIE GEE OUT OF WISCONSON WHO BELIEVED IN WHAT WE WANTED AND WERE WE NEEDED TO BE TO ACCOMPLISH THAT. THIS IS WHERE OUR TURNING POINT BEGINS, WITH STILL SOMETHING TO PROVE? 17 YEARS IN THE GAME NOW WE HAVE BEEN DEDICATED AND STRIVE FOR PERFECTION. IT'S NOT ONLY AN EMPIRE WE HAD BUILT, IT'S OUR DREAM. Apollian,

More so than any other music since the blues, hip-hop is all about stories.
And its stories are both criminal minded and grand, making them enthralling and unbelievable, but also making them only as interesting and convincing as the teller. That's why, despite being the co-competitor in the industry, without a major-label recording contract, heads still gravitated to 'The Midwest" realest son, Apollian,
like the planets to the sun. Apollian, born Andre Brown 24 years ago, is the real deal, the genuine article.

Dubbed one of the hottest hip hop artist in the Midwest by his fans, he can bring down any house with a medium core performance that's mixed with pure old school R&B, music that rocks ages 12 thru 100, and surely he will be the next icon in the independent record industry as an unsigned artist. Apollian, was born in Milwaukee, WI on the north side raised by his grandparents and a single mom, but with the help of the lord he succeeded the diversities of the ghetto ridden north side.

At age 12 Apollian, started to write and produce songs in school plays, and soon

who had something to show the world, it's talents, showmanship, and professional creativity.

Some of the first songs released by Apollian we're "Underworld Hide Out", "Sexy", "Midwest Players", "Miltown Swang" and many more great tunes with styles and mixtures like his idols (BIG), (Jr.Mafia), (50 Cent), (Run DMC), (DMX), and with all old school R&B artist who made great hits, it just sets off a whole new message and idea for a hot new joint to be arranged and dropped in to the punch bowel of the music industry.

Apollian, Has made appearances on television, Summerfest, Afrofest, and other large city venues like "The Riverside Theater", "Have A Nice Day Cafe", "Mixers" and all kinds of awards shows, and probably just as your thinking, he won them all. Here's a brief summary on how digital and phyiscal radio works today:

BDS (BROADCAST DATA SYSTEMS):
This system uses computers to listen to the large stations throughout the country.
The information is tabulated and sold to subscribing customers... most of which are medium and large labels, management, radio group owners, and others which absolutely have to know where a record is playing, because the decisions that need to be made are going to cost thousands of dollars per market. Subscribers can log on at any time and find out exactly where and how many spins any record is playing, and what time of day it played.

MEDIABASE: This system is similar in concept to BDS, but instead of using computers to listen, it uses people. Also, since a human is actually doing the listening, that person can make notes of special things, like if the music was
heard in a advertisement, or if the artist was talked about by DJs, or other things
that a computer would miss.

BDS is used to make all the Billboard airplay charts. MediaBase is used to make many of the charts in Radio & Records (except for the specialty and "indicator" charts, which are still done manually.) I should repeat this one point about specialty: Although MediaBase does detect specialty spins on the stations it monitors, this info is not used for the specialty charts in R&R... instead the specialty charts are made using manual reporting. MediaBase subscribers could still, however, search for and find a specialty spin if they wanted to.

MediaBase and BDS monitor about 80% of the same stations; therefore you may need to get both in order to get proper coverage.

The other major charts, FMQB and CMJ, use manual reporting for both the specialty and regular-rotation charts, and thus they are more suited to the beginning label.

Larger labels that have several projects going at once (and who are already selling 200 to 300 albums per week) might want to take a look at a BDS overall-package that let's them log on at any time to check spins. Smaller labels will have to get the limited one-title package that just emails you the results every Monday. Mediabase, since it can be accessed at any time with even it's smallest package, is a good starting point for smaller labels.

Mediabase has a special section for the indicator stations, called R&R Tracking. This sub-section of Mediabase is good if your genre has a lot of indicator stations, but, it's non-real time; the results can only be had once a week.

SOUNDSCAN: This system should not be confused with BDS or MediaBase. Soundscan is not for radio... it is for retail sales. It is the system that is connected to the barcode scanners at retail stores; it tabulates the sales data, and sells it to subscribers at a lofty price.

A note about who owns whom: Soundscan and Billboard and BDS are all owned by the same company. MediaBase, on the other hand, is owned by Clear Channel, the largest owner of radio stations (1200) in the world.

In establishing her poignant career as a record label CEO several years ago, the Houston Texas native went on to achieve notable success as the co-owner of Death Row Records, in addition to her current production companies Keeping the Dream Alive Productions (K.D.A.) and Dream On Productions (D.O.P.). The latter two companies are responsible for the release of the 2002 docudrama Welcome To Death Row, and for the forthcoming biography entitled Married To The Game. Her journey began in 1985 when the then starry-eyed Harris was in pursuit of a career as a singer.

A chance meeting in a Houston Texas nightclub was the quantum leap that inevitably changed her life forever. It was here that she met her husband, the notorious Michael “Harry-O” Harris a drug dealer turned entrepreneur whose story reigned through the streets of Los Angeles like an urban legend. Their meeting led to their marriage and her subsequent involvement in the music industry. After his incarceration, Harris boldly stepped into her husband’s shoes as the co-founder of Death Row Records, where she became responsible for nurturing the careers of artists such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Battlecat, Dana Dane and a host of others.

While under the tutelage of her imprisoned husband, Harris’s life soon became one infused with legal battles, business dealings in the music industry, crime, and deceit, all while she struggled to maintain dignity, loyalty and integrity in a business where such commodities seldom exist. Never once realizing that she’d be faced with streetwise, hardcore gangsters, Harris’s life was soon caught up in a mélange of circumstances spawned by her marriage.
